Cook large portions of ground meats, sauces, vegetables, and more with the Vulcan VG40-NAT 40 gallon natural gas braising pan / tilt skillet! This unit features a high-efficiency, high-output, 40 gallon design that allows you to create large batches of seared, grilled, sauteed, or simmered foods without the mess and inefficiency of stockpots and ranges. This unit's pan is made of stainless steel with a polished interior surface and coved corners for easy cleanout. Plus, it has embossed gallon markings on the sides for easy measuring. The pan has one 30,000 BTU burner for each 12" of bottom plate and a spring-assisted hinged stainless steel cover is included to help contain heat and steam. The lid can even stop in place for vented cooking and has a wrap-around cool-touch handle for safe use. In addition, a side mounted faucet bracket is included to make it easier to mount your choice of a faucet (sold separately) for efficient filling of the braising pan. Tilting this braising pan is safe and easy since it has an anti-jam pan lifting mechanism with a removable crank handle. The hand crank tilting mechanism lets you slowly tilt this braising pan and maintain complete control while emptying the skillet's contents. It tilts completely with approximately 30 revolutions and the pouring spout with a removable strainer directs food into your hotel pans or food storage containers placed on the included receiving pan supports. Integrally-mounted solid state temperature controls, located on the front of the unit in the control housing for easy access, offer a 50-425 degree Fahrenheit range. This unit comes with tubular stainless steel legs with adjustable flanged feet to secure the unit safely to the floor. A natural gas connection and a 120V electrical connection are required for operation.
