If covering some ground with a carpet of crimson-pink sounds good to you, then this is the plant to consider. Creeping Phlox is an easy and attractive ground cover with a show-stopping flower display from early-to-mid spring through early summer. This variety has a deeper pink color than many, with dark pink flowers and crimson centers. The minuscule flowers form a mat of color at the top of the season, and later, the rough-to-the-touch foliage beneath remains as a muted gray-green mat. All this grows low, snug to the ground yet visible. This is for the gardener who loves splashes of color!Plant Type: PerennialZone: 3 - 9Light Requ's: sun - partial shadeBlooms: May - JuneGrowth Habit: mattingFoliage: greenDimensions: 6.00in high, 3.00in high on delivery, spreads 24.00inCare: Creeping Phlox likes a variety of well-draining soils; there is no need to worry about soil pH. When planting, place a little compost up near the plant to give it the light nutrients it needs, or use a diluted fertilizer before bloom and after to keep your Creeping Phlox healthy. Shearing as a method of deadheading spent blooms is helpful and may encourage late-season blooms, though this should not be expected. Shearing again in fall also helps this plant.Note: Any accessories pictured are not included, for illustrative purposes only. Size: 4x 2.63x1.72x2.75". Color: pink and crimson. Gender: female.
