We all love the convenience of a self-watering container so, we thought, why not apply the same principle to an elevated raised bed? Tadaa! Designed to fit our Vermont-made garden boxes these self-watering reservoirs extend time between waterings and create more even moisture throughout the bed. And, since water is drawn primarily from the bottom instead of applied from the top, less water will be lost to evaporation too! In our tests, plants grew stronger, healthier, faster, and produced more. Reservoirs are connected, eliminating the need for multiple fill tubes and ports. The retrofit is easy: simply remove your existing soil, liner and cedar plank floor, install the supports, connect and drop in the reservoirs, insert the fill tube and spacers, replace the soil and add plants. Done!
