Ruby loropetalum produces ribbon-like pink blooms from the spring into early fall. Sizes vary of course, but the average plant will reach 5' H x 5' W. Full sun is where this shrub thrives so you will want to place it in a sunny spot around your home or in your garden. Whether you choose to grow yours in a container to add character around entryways or you are looking for a garden specimen this loropetalum can do it all. Hardy in USDA Zones 7-10 it is able to tolerate low temperatures without major concern. Receiving full sun is the key to this plant producing its best blooms. If it is unable to receive 6 hours of sun daily it can still tolerate and bloom in part sun, but bloom quality and/or quantity may decrease. When you receive your plant be sure to water before placing in the ground. Once established the shrubs are quite drought tolerant.
