Best grown in moist, rich, fertile, acidic, well-drained soils in full Sun. Tolerates light shade. Soils should not be allowed to dry out. Site in a location protected from drying winter winds. The Yoshino is cold hardy in USDA Zones 6-9. The tree is shipped in a #3 pot with a minimum height of 18 in.
