It is low-growing, creeping and forms a very dense mat-like cover. It does not tolerate foot traffic, but it works well on sunny slopes that are too steep to mow or along stone walls. The foliage is gray- green, and it is loaded with little white blooms. Snow in Summer is fairly tolerant to drought. The plants benefit from a trimming after the blooms are spent to tidy their appearance. Sow Snow in Summer seed indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the last expected frost.
