The 40 dB high gain amplifier is designed to address these attenuation issues. PCTELs proprietary quadrifiliar helix design, coupled with multi-stage filtering provides superior out-of-band rejection and lower elevation pattern performance than a traditional patch antenna. The GPSGL-TMG-SPI-40N 's unique radome shape sheds water and ice and prevents bird perching. The antenna also features ESD, reverse polarity protection, and transit voltage suppression. This antenna includes PCTEL's GPS-TMG-MMD Mount Kit . Critically, the GPSGL-TMG-SPI-40N also provides integrated lightning protection. This removes the need for downstream, in-line surge suppressors.
