On Tuesday, the Savannah Police Department (SPD) arrested a sixth suspect in connection to the May 18 shooting in Ellis Square, according to an SPD press release.

Monday morning the Savannah Police Department (SPD) obtained arrest warrants for two individuals in connection with the Ellis Square shooting that occurred on May 18. Omarre Harris was taken into custody on Tuesday,

On May 21, William Anthony Mitchell, 20, was taken into custody and charged with four counts of aggravated assault and four counts of possession of a firearm during commission or attempt to commit certain crimes. On May 30, Savannah Police arrested three suspects in connection to the Ellis Square shooting.

Savannah Police (SPD) officers responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Tatem Street at 11:37 p.m. on Tuesday. There they found 19-year-old Mahki Hampton, who later died.

Savannah Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one person dead. The shooting happened in the Tatemville Community just after 11:30 Tuesday night. Police responded to the scene on Tatem Street near Staley Avenue and found a victim with serious injuries. The victim would pass away a short time later.
