Senate Republicans defeat bill that would have made IVF a legal right
On Thursday, the Senate voted 48-47 — largely along party lines — to kill The Right to IVF Act. The legislation, which needed 60 votes to pass the upper congressional chamber, would have established a nationwide right to IVF and other assisted reproductive technology.
