On the April 15 episode of WWE Raw, Triple H presented Awesome Truth (R-Truth & The Miz) with new WWE Tag Team Championships. Triple H said the belts are the WWE World Tag Team Championships, doing away with the Raw Tag Team Championships.

WWE has unveiled new World Tag Team title belts, and crowned new number one contenders to the championships. Former Raw Tag Team Champions The Miz & R-Truth were presented with new title belts in an in-ring ceremony on Monday's Raw by on-screen authority figure Adam Pearce & WWE CCO Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

Sure enough, they brought up the tag team title situation at WrestleMania 40 and the fact that the belts were split when Awesome Truth took the Raw tag team titles while Grayson Waller & Austin Theory took the SmackDown tag team titles.
