H.E.R. and Oprah Winfrey are developing a Majorettes movie for 20th on the heels of their work together on Warner Bros' 'The Color Purple.'

The multi-hyphenate will star and produce the feature, working with writer Lauren Ashley Smith. H.E.R., the Oscar, Emmy, and five-time Grammy award-winning musical artist who made her feature acting debut with the recent The Color Purple musical adaptation, is keeping her movie career marching along.

Oprah Winfrey on a new project about a young ballet dancer in Atlanta. The film will mark her second collaboration with Winfrey, following her role in 2023's The Color Purple, where she played the character of Squeak.
