Prosecutors in Guatemala, which has a history of targeting nonprofit groups, said they were probing claims of child abuse, which the charity denied.

Guatemalan authorities on Thursday (Apr 25) raided the offices of the international organisation Save the Children in what the prosecutor's office said was part of an investigation into alleged abuses against minors.

Prosecutor Rafael Curruchiche said that the complaint filed by an unidentified foreigner had raised serious concerns because it involved allegations of abuse of children.
