After some rest and then more rehabbing, LeMahieu was cleared again to test his foot in games on Tuesday after he faced minor-league pitching in a live BP session at the Yankees’ player development complex in Tampa. LeMahieu traveled to New York after his workout in Tampa to finishing up his prepping rehab games.

The New York Yankees have enjoyed excellent starting pitching in Gerrit Cole's absence. His return in a few weeks prompts a difficult decision about their rotation.

According to Jon Heyman of The New York Post, Cole could be returning to New York's rotation much sooner than originally expected. "Gerrit Cole is scheduled to throw his first bullpen Saturday, with the new target for his return [listed as] mid June," Heyman reports.
