Hezbollah announced Monday the launch of 'dozens' of rockets on an Israeli military base in the Syrian Golan in response to an Israeli airstrike on the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon late Sunday to Monday.

A local official in southern Lebanon said an Israeli strike on a village Sunday killed a couple and their child, the latest deadly incident in the border region. In Lebanon, at least 389 people have been killed in nearly seven months of cross-border violence,

A local official in Lebanon and state media said an Israeli strike on a southern village on Sunday killed several family members, with Hezbollah fighters announcing rocket fire in retaliation. Israel and Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah group have exchanged regular cross-border fire since Palestinian militant group Hamas's unprecedented October attack on southern Israel sparked the war in Gaza.
