The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the Killeen-Temple-Fort Cavazos has decreased from a week ago, according to AAA.

The average fuel price in state has fallen about 18 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the state in the last year have been as low as $2.81 on Dec. 18, 2023, and as high as $3.76 on Aug. 7, 2023.

Gas prices dropped an average of 5.2 cents per litre across Canada over the past week, according to pump data from nearly 80 cities. Sarnia, Ont. and Vancouver saw the largest double-digit drops. The deepening discount for drivers came as OPEC+ members attempt to shore up crude prices by signalling intentions to start adding supply to the market in October.
