Blackstone launched a 275.8 billion yen ($1.74 billion) bid to take Japanese digital comic distributor Infocom private, including a tender offer for a per-share price of 6,060 yen, Infocom said on Tuesday.

Blackstone plans to buy Japanese e-comic and information-technology services company Infocom, in its largest private-equity deal ever in the country.

Blackstone Inc. has agreed to buy Japanese e-comics provider Infocom Corp. in a deal valuing the company at about 275 billion yen ($1.7 billion), according to people with knowledge of the matter.

"Blackstone unveils tender offer for Infocom" was originally created and published by Private Banker International, a GlobalData owned brand.

TOKYO (Reuters) -Japanese digital comic distributor Infocom will announce its board's decision on a takeover bid from Blackstone once all its disclosure documents are ready, the company said on Tuesday.

Blackstone (NYSE:BX) said Tuesday it has offered to buy Japanese e-comic and information technology services company Infocom, in its third private equity investment in Japan announced over the past six months.
