GameStop Corp. shares GME, +2.34% have surged over the past month as influential trader Keith Gill, aka Roaring Kitty on X and YouTube, reappeared on social media. Gill was an influential figure in GameStop’s meme-stock frenzy in 2021.

Shares of GameStop were down by more than 40% as of 1:15 p.m. Eastern time despite the highly anticipated reappearance by “Roaring Kitty.”

With Gill owning nine million shares, he stands to earn or lose $90,000 for every penny move in GameStop stock.
