Some travelers have already suffered from confusion between Oakland and San Francisco’s airports and landed at the wrong destination because of the Oakland airport’s name change made earlier this year,

After Oakland changed the name of its airport earlier this year, San Francisco’s city attorney on Tuesday asked a federal judge to block the change as part of a trademark infringement lawsuit.

San Francisco is petitioning a judge to immediately stop Oakland from using its new "San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport" name, saying that it is a trademark infringement on SFO and is causing some to show up at the wrong airport.
